Chengyu  Zuo

I'm a student at Nanjing Foreign Language School. School takes up a lot of time, but I fit in drawing scenes from daily life, knitting items that don't always come out even, and assembling robots that often need tweaks to function. From ninth grade, honors have included distinction in AMC math competition, first place in a school speech contest after self-studying English, and recognition for a voice-visualization installation project. These came from extra practice sessions or group work. Summers meant programs like the engineering academy in the University of Pennsylvania for building neural networks and game prototypes, plus jobs such as serving at a local cafe or organizing shelves at a store, all before the next grade. For activities, I've done painting classes focusing on traditional Chinese elements like herbs and shoes, family-supported art training for the national art exam, knitting personal projects, robot design experiments, collaborative game development blending biology and digital media, volunteering at Rainbow House welfare center for terminally ill kids with interactive installations, creating a sound-to-visual device to connect Nanjing's urban sounds to visuals, posting digital art on Pixiv with 5000 followers.
